Job Title: Translation Project Coordinator

Job Description:

Summarized Purpose:
Manage basic translation project processes throughout their complete life cycle, including the assignment and management of linguists, language specialists, and desktop publishers.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, schedule, and perform risk management for projects.
  • Allocate resources for various projects.
  • Track project progress to ensure quality, timely deliveries, and adherence to budget.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships regarding project matters, including status reports and solutions.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the project team.
  • Ensure completion of all project-driven administrative and financial processes.
  • Collect Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data for assigned clients.

Job Complexity:
Work on problems of limited scope, following standard practices and procedures to analyze situations or data for readily obtainable answers.

Job Knowledge:
Learn to use professional concepts and apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues, typically receiving detailed instructions on all tasks.

Business Relationships:
Primarily interact with the immediate supervisor and other department personnel, building stable working relationships internally.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant formal academic or vocational qualifications.
  • Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (0 to 2 years).
  • In some cases, a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered sufficient.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 0-2 years of proven project management experience, preferably in life sciences translations.
  • Experience with CAT/TMS tools preferred.
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
