Job Title: Team Leader – AR

Location: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai


Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader – AR to manage a dynamic team in the US Healthcare Accounts Receivable (AR) domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AR processes, excellent people management skills, and the ability to oversee team performance while ensuring adherence to SLAs.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Supervision

  • Oversee and manage a team of 25-30 members, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Assign work, monitor attendance, and manage team schedules.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to team members and support in quality control.

  • Regularly review and analyze reports to offer constructive feedback for performance improvement.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and ensure subordinates are upskilled accordingly.

  • Facilitate team training sessions and maintain a record of completed training.

Process Management

  • Communicate process updates and client changes to the team within specific timelines.

  • Ensure SLAs are met, adjusting team priorities under the guidance of the Manager.

  • Provide expertise in specialty billing, including Transplant, Gift of Life, and Organ Procurement billing processes.

Team Performance & Disciplinary Management

  • Monitor team performance and resolve behavioral, attendance, and performance-related issues.

  • Conduct daily briefings (maximum of 15 minutes) to update the team on goals and tasks.

  • Escalate unresolved performance issues to Managers and support Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).

  • Handle disciplinary issues in line with organizational policies.

General Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual performance appraisals in collaboration with the Manager.

  • Approve leave requests and manage employee separations per company policies.

  • Address escalated customer issues and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).


Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Graduate/Diploma holder with excellent communication skills.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the US Healthcare AR domain.

  • Domain Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of Hospital/Physician Billing, AR Follow-Ups, and Denial Management.

    • Specialty billing knowledge, including Transplant and Organ Procurement processes, is an advantage.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Office for data analysis and report generation.

    • Strong client coordination skills.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage a large team, with excellent people management and conflict resolution skills.

  • Work Environment: Willingness to work from the office during US time zones.
