Job Title: Safety Pharmacovigilance Staff

Role Overview

GSK is seeking a Safety Pharmacovigilance Staff member to provide technical support and ensure the accuracy of critical safety data. This role involves administrative support, system maintenance, and ensuring the integrity of data in the systems used by the team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ticket Management:

    • Triaging and routing tickets raised worldwide to the appropriate resolving teams.

    • Resolving tickets requiring IT skills, including access management, system support, and data requests.

  • Application Support:

    • Support Incident and Service Request Management for PV suite applications, including:

      • OASIS (Argus, LAM, Argus J)

      • Argus Admin Tool

      • PVLite

      • OASIS Reports (Wizards and Custom Reports)

      • CSP, MARS, DST, Safety eHUB, Axway, and CVW

  • System Maintenance:

    • Maintain and perform quality checks on OASIS Package Configuration Specification (PCS) spreadsheets for business configuration updates from Argus console, covering:

      • Clinical studies

      • Code lists

      • Reporting rules

      • Licenses

      • Product families and products

      • System and other configurations

  • Communication & Documentation:

    • Handle communications regarding planned application downtimes.

    • Update relevant documentation for changes in PV suite applications and ensure approval.

  • Ad Hoc Support:

    • Support internal stakeholders with SQL queries under supervision.

    • Provide expertise to team members working across shifts.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or medically related field preferred.

  • 4–9 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in clinical development, pharmacovigilance, or information management, or equivalent work experience.


Job-Related Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Analytical and logical thinking skills, including:

    • SQL knowledge and documentation based on end-user input.

    • ITIL knowledge for IT service management.

  • Flexible working in shifts.

  • Basic knowledge of medical and drug terminology.

  • Proficiency in systems, data querying, and reporting tools from Safety databases.

  • Ability to handle urgent requests and work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong customer focus, quick learning, and adaptability to process changes.
