We are seeking a highly skilled and innovation-driven Statistical Programmer II / Senior Statistical Programmer (R / R Shiny) to support advanced clinical data analytics, interactive visualization development, statistical programming, and clinical trial reporting for global drug development programs. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in R programming, R Shiny dashboard development, clinical trial data analytics, data visualization, statistical programming, Git workflows, and biometrics innovation.

The ideal candidate will combine strong clinical statistical programming expertise with modern analytics engineering capabilities to build scalable interactive visualizations, automate analytics workflows, and support data-driven decision-making in clinical development.

This role is highly suited for experienced programmers looking to work at the intersection of clinical research, statistical programming, data science, and advanced visualization engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Statistical Programming & Data Analytics

  • Develop and maintain advanced statistical programming solutions supporting global clinical trial programs.
  • Analyze complex clinical trial datasets and generate high-quality analytical outputs for study teams and stakeholders.
  • Support statistical programming deliverables for study reporting, data interpretation, and operational analytics.
  • Collaborate with biometrics and clinical teams to transform study data into actionable insights.

R Programming & Advanced Data Engineering

  • Develop robust analytics workflows using R programming within clinical development environments.
  • Apply advanced data transformation, wrangling, and statistical analysis techniques using modern R frameworks.
  • Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable R-based analytical solutions for clinical applications.

Interactive Visualization & R Shiny Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualization applications using R Shiny.
  • Create visually compelling clinical analytics dashboards that improve interpretation of trial data and study metrics.
  • Build dynamic visual reporting tools to support operational decision-making, sponsor reporting, and biometrics insights.
  • Optimize dashboard usability, responsiveness, and performance for enterprise clinical environments.

Data Wrangling & Visualization Engineering

  • Utilize tidyverse ecosystem tools for efficient clinical data wrangling, transformation, and analysis.
  • Build advanced visualizations using ggplot2 and related R visualization frameworks.
  • Ensure visual analytics outputs are accurate, scalable, and stakeholder-friendly.

Clinical Trial Data Expertise

  • Work directly with clinical trial datasets and understand clinical research workflows, data structures, and operational requirements.
  • Support analysis of study metrics, operational performance indicators, and clinical reporting datasets.
  • Translate clinical study requirements into analytical and visualization solutions.

Version Control & Collaborative Development

  • Apply modern version control practices using GitHub or GitLab, including:
    • Branching
    • Commits
    • Push / pull workflows
    • Merge requests
    • Code reviews
    • Collaborative development governance
  • Maintain clean code management and collaborative engineering standards.

Study Leadership & Multi-Project Delivery

  • Manage programming deliverables across multiple concurrent studies.
  • Serve as a study lead where required, ensuring timeline adherence, technical delivery quality, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Balance priorities effectively in fast-paced global project environments.

Innovation & Emerging Technology Enablement

  • Explore modern analytics engineering capabilities and automation opportunities.
  • Work with advanced coding productivity tools and AI-assisted development environments where applicable.
  • Support innovation initiatives that enhance clinical analytics efficiency and reporting intelligence.
