Role Overview

The Research Scientist (SRA) in Chemical Research focuses on developing and commercializing new human nutrition products. The role involves end-to-end product innovation, process development, route scouting, scale-up, and commercialization while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities

New Product Development

  • Design and develop new human nutrition products aligned with market and customer needs.

  • Lead innovation in food ingredients, nutrition solutions, and functional additives.

  • Support commercialization of new products from lab to production scale.

Process Development & Optimization

  • Develop and optimize chemical and nutritional product processes.

  • Conduct route scouting for cost-effective and scalable synthesis pathways.

  • Improve yield, efficiency, and cost structure of processes.

Laboratory & R&D Execution

  • Conduct experiments, collect data, and analyze results.

  • Improve laboratory efficiency through better techniques, tools, and methods.

  • Maintain documentation, reporting, and experimental records.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Maintain zero non-compliance tolerance in R&D operations.

  • Support budgeting and planning activities for R&D projects.

Collaboration & Scale-Up

  • Work with manufacturing, QA/QC, and business teams for technology transfer.

  • Drive process scale-up from lab to pilot and commercial scale.

  • Support cross-functional teams for cost optimization and product improvement.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s or PhD in:

    • Chemistry

    • Food Science

    • Nutrition Science

    • Related scientific disciplines

Experience

  • 7–10 years in:

    • Human nutrition industry

    • Chemical R&D

    • Food ingredients / nutraceuticals

    • Product development & commercialization
