Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Clinical Logistics plays a strategic role in shaping and executing logistics operations for investigational medicinal products (IMPs) that support global clinical trials. This position requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and expertise in international regulatory compliance. The role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who excels in complex, fast-paced environments and is committed to accelerating clinical development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global logistics strategies for investigational medicinal products in alignment with GDP and international regulatory requirements.

  • Introduce and drive best practices, innovative concepts, and standardization across global logistics operations.

  • Strengthen operational processes by improving workflows, systems, and efficiency metrics.

  • Oversee outsourced distribution activities related to clinical APIs and Drug Products, ensuring accurate and timely execution.

  • Maintain documentation and reporting systems to demonstrate operational performance and regulatory compliance.

  • Identify, assess, and onboard external contractors, suppliers, and service partners.

  • Track industry and market trends to sustain a competitive and reliable vendor ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with internal leaders and external partners to enable integrated, end-to-end supply chain operations.

  • Train and mentor team members to support professional development and organizational goals.

  • Ensure full adherence to global regulatory standards across all logistics processes.

  • Prepare for and support internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and quality compliance.

  • Apply expert judgment to resolve complex operational challenges.

  • Establish workflow standards, performance criteria, and operational frameworks to support continuous improvement.

  • Lead innovation-focused initiatives to enhance logistics performance and operational agility.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or clinical operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to design innovative solutions to moderately complex operational challenges.

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work in a matrix environment and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in GMP, GDP, temperature-controlled logistics, cold-chain integrity, and global regulatory requirements.

  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities with a history of managing multiple priorities.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation standards.


Experience Required (in Years)

  • 6–10 years of experience in clinical logistics, pharmaceutical supply chain, or global distribution operations.

  • 3–5 years of experience managing external partners or vendors in a regulated industry.

  • 3+ years of experience working with GDP, temperature-controlled or cold-chain logistics, and global compliance frameworks.

  • 2–4 years of experience leading teams or cross-functional initiatives.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: USD 157,590 – USD 203,940, based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

  • Eligibility for discretionary annual bonus and long-term stock-based incentives.
