Position Overview

Pediatric Associates is offering a SkillBridge Special Project Intern position for military service members transitioning from active duty. This unique internship, spanning 90-180 days, will immerse you in the full lifecycle of project management across various business departments within the organization. Under the guidance of leadership, you'll gain hands-on experience in planning, execution, monitoring, and closing large-scale projects, as well as supporting process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project engagement, including vendor relationships, change management, risk tracking, and reporting
  • Develop and report on project success criteria, KPIs, and metrics
  • Collaborate creatively in problem-solving and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Support project management and administrative tasks for enterprise portfolio management
  • Assist with materials development and facilitation of strategic planning sessions
  • Help manage multiple tasks across different project areas

Required Qualifications

  • Must have served at least 180 days of active duty
  • Completion of TAPS/TGPS and recent ethics brief
  • Unit Commander approval for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program
  • Anticipated honorable discharge from active military service

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of program/project management experience (healthcare experience preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience in gathering business requirements and supporting executive/functional teams
  • Familiarity with standard project management principles, methods, and techniques
  • Experience with vendor/consultant management and developing project reports, proposals, and presentations
