Position Overview

Pediatric Associates is seeking a SkillBridge Assistant Practice Manager Intern for military service members transitioning out of active duty. This internship allows individuals to gain hands-on experience in managing the operational functions of a medical office, including staffing, patient care flow, financial performance, and facility management. Interns will also help develop processes to improve office efficiency while overseeing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staff schedules and ensure proper staffing levels for smooth office operations
  • Supervise new hires, manage staff development, and promote a positive work environment
  • Organize and conduct monthly staff meetings for updates on new initiatives and policies
  • Monitor vaccine storage and inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Oversee patient scheduling, greeting, and check-in/check-out processes
  • Review and reconcile daily reports, including charge and payment posting
  • Maintain IT equipment, manage insurance verification, and ensure effective communication across the office
  • Manage patient flow, resolve staff conflicts, and maintain high customer service standards
  • Enforce office policies, monitor budget goals, and ensure compliance with organizational procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Active CPR certification
  • Two years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
