In this vital role, you will act as the primary liaison between Amgen and medical professionals, providing clinical knowledge about Repatha and Otezla, two of our most impactful products. Through your expertise, you will help ensure patients gain access to the treatments they need, while also contributing to the long-term growth of Amgen.


What You Will Do:

As a Senior Specialty Representative, you will utilize your sales experience and clinical knowledge to engage with healthcare professionals and promote Amgen's products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Knowledge and Sales Leadership: Provide up-to-date, comprehensive clinical knowledge about Amgen's products and effectively communicate their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.

  • Achieving Sales Targets: Deliver branded sales messages, implement planned programs, and ensure follow-up on medical educational programs to achieve or exceed sales targets within your assigned territory.

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to service and manage accounts, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.

  • Business Analysis: Analyze the effectiveness of sales activities, territory performance, and work with the District Manager to develop territory plans.

  • Continuous Learning and Curiosity: Stay current with industry changes, regulatory updates, and disease state awareness to drive results and support your career development as a Senior Specialty Representative.


What We Expect of You:

We are seeking an energetic and results-driven professional with the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience OR
  • Associate Degree and 6 years of sales experience OR
  • High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries, with a focus on specialties such as oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, cardiology, etc.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
