Job Description:

Purpose:

The Senior/Associate in Global Medical Information (GMI) is crucial in anticipating customer questions and providing prompt, accurate, and compliant responses. This role plays an integral part in the medical launch strategy and continuously strives to improve customer experience at first touchpoints, including call centers, digital channels, and field-based medical support. This role will help manage global medical information deliverables and support innovative customer solutions using emerging technologies.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage Relationships: Work with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.

  • Medical Information Response:

    • Manage a portfolio of responses (e.g., medical letters, FAQs, literature searches) to medical inquiries from healthcare professionals (HCPs) and consumers.

    • Respond to unsolicited inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and compliant manner.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Meet or exceed customer satisfaction goals and use customer insights to enhance the Medical Information strategy.

  • Omnichannel Strategy: Deliver Medical Information through preferred channels (call centers, digital, etc.), depending on lifecycle stage.

  • Training and Expertise: Provide training to affiliate and call center partners and serve as a subject matter expert.

  • Scientific Congresses: Provide staffing support and expertise at medical information booths at congresses.

  • Coaching and Transformation: Support process improvement initiatives and provide coaching for specific deliverables.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare profession with at least 2 years of industry experience, or

    • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare profession with at least 2 years of experience in a designated therapeutic area or similar role, or

    • Master’s degree in a healthcare profession, or

    • PhD with experience in a therapeutic area.

  • Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication in English.

    • Ability to assimilate and communicate large volumes of medical information.

    • Ability to conduct literature searches and evaluate evidence.

    • Adaptable to new technologies related to medical information delivery.

    • Proficient in end-user computer skills (e.g., databases, word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint).
