Job Title: Senior Scientific Writer – Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA)

About the Team

Sanofi Global Hub (SGH), India, provides centralized scientific, medical, HEVA, commercial, and digital support across global business units including Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, R&D, and Data & Digital. SGH acts as a strategic partner enabling high-quality, timely, and compliant deliverables for global functions.


Role Purpose

Lead the creation and management of HEVA communication deliverables, publication processes, and value evidence content across therapeutic areas. Serve as a senior expert supporting global/local HEVA teams, coaching junior writers, and ensuring adherence to publication standards, compliance, and strategic alignment with HEVA communication plans.


Key Responsibilities

1. HEVA Communication & Publication Development

  • Create and review HEVA communication deliverables such as:

    • Manuscripts, abstracts, posters

    • Slide decks and Core Value Decks

  • Align deliverables with:

    • HEVA communication strategy

    • Core Value Dossier and US AMCP Dossier

  • Develop and maintain templates, tools, and core processes across portfolios.

  • Ensure regular updates and synthesis of critical HEVA evidence.

  • Maintain compliance with publication SOPs and relevant regulations.

  • Identify and implement innovative approaches to communicate HEVA value evidence for improved access and reimbursement outcomes.

  • Manage end-to-end publication processes through iEnvision (Datavision/Matrix).


2. People Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective working relationships with HEVA teams and product stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals on scientific publications.

  • Guide and coach junior HEVA writers; support ongoing skill development.

  • Share knowledge and best practices across teams.


3. Performance Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality HEVA communication materials within agreed timelines.

  • Provide strategic publication support with external experts, institutions, and collaborators.

  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and scientific rigor in all deliverables.


4. Process Responsibilities

  • Develop complex and high-impact publication materials.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in medical communication for assigned therapeutic areas.

  • Conduct publication needs assessments and implement annual publication plans.

  • Oversee HEVA communication processes, ensuring alignment with value messaging.

  • Manage vendor-supported deliverables and ensure adherence to processes.

  • Use end-user feedback to continuously refine publication content and delivery.


5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with:

    • Global and local HEVA teams

    • RWE (Real World Evidence) teams

    • Scientific communication teams

  • Liaise with global/local HEVA stakeholders to understand publication needs and customize deliverables accordingly.


About You

Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in:

    • Scientific content creation, medical communications, HEVA/HEOR, academia, or pharma/healthcare industry.

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Technical Skills

  • Training/experience in:

    • Health economics, public health, epidemiology

    • Good Publication Practice (GPP)

    • Publication planning and submission

    • Therapeutic area expertise

  • Strong project management capabilities

Education

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Economics, or a Medical degree.

Languages

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
