Position Overview

The Senior Revenue Accountant (Contractor) is responsible for the end-to-end revenue recognition process for assigned business units. The role involves working with global teams to ensure accurate accounting and compliance with ASC 606, maintaining internal controls, and partnering cross-functionally to support project-based and SaaS revenue models.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the global revenue recognition process (primarily percent-complete methodology).

  • Prepare journal entries, unbilled accounts receivable, and deferred revenue reconciliations in line with U.S. GAAP.

  • Review customer contracts to ensure correct revenue recognition under ASC 606.

  • Ensure contracts are accurately entered into ERP systems (Sage Intacct, transitioning to Oracle Fusion).

  • Apply and uphold the company’s revenue accounting policies including those involving judgment and estimates.

  • Partner with teams across Finance, Legal, Sales Ops, and Project Management for proper revenue assessment.

  • Support and maintain financial internal controls over revenue processes.

  • Provide data and documentation to external auditors during year-end audits.

  • Handle ad hoc projects, process improvements, and maintain thorough documentation.

  • Participate in cross-functional Finance & Accounting projects.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years progressive accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 (especially in project-based services or SaaS).

  • Advanced Excel skills are essential.

  • Experience with Sage Intacct and Oracle Fusion preferred.

  • Prior experience in the CRO industry is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and prioritize effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
