Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Medical Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll work closely with a local team of medical writers and creatives to inspire and develop impactful healthcare content. Your ability to write strategic and creative content for a variety of health-related brands and audiences will be key in delivering high-quality projects. You’ll help build client relationships and trust while addressing complex medical and pharmaceutical needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Writing: Write for various formats, including promotional materials, educational programs, conference reports, advisory board minutes, slide decks, and primary manuscripts, targeting audiences such as GPs, specialists, nurses, pharmacists, patients, and caregivers.
  • Research & Analysis: Analyze clinical papers and data, referencing agency-produced materials to relevant sources, and proofread all materials for accuracy.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Proactively liaise with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and clients (marketing and medical staff) to deliver high-quality content.
  • Strategic Content Creation: Present complex data in a clear, concise, and compelling way, contributing to communication strategies and identifying key issues (e.g., SWOT analyses).
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a strategic advisor and authority for therapeutic areas, applying knowledge and sharing insights with clients.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Life sciences degree (MD, PhD, MSc, or BPharm preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Medical Writer in a pharmaceutical advertising agency or sector, with strong knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical codes and guidelines.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent writing, communication, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and innovatively.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
    • Calm under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines.
