As a Senior Medical Editor, you will ensure that medical documents meet regulatory and sponsor requirements. You will lead complex medical writing projects, mentor junior staff, and handle copyediting tasks with an eye for detail. This role also includes supporting the medical writing team in data integrity review, compilation, and publishing tasks.

Project Leadership & Management

βœ” Project Oversight: Lead internal project meetings and ensure all information is distributed and implemented across teams.
βœ” Timeline & Budget Management: Monitor project progress, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of medical writing outputs.
βœ” Training & Mentorship: Provide training to medical editors and writers on data integrity, style guidelines, and editorial standards.

Editing & Data Review

βœ” Copyediting: Apply the AMA style guide or other relevant guidelines, ensuring correctness in grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
βœ” Data Integrity: Conduct detailed reviews of medical documents for data integrity and accuracy.

Process Improvement

βœ” Process Development: Contribute to the creation and improvement of editorial processes, tools, and policies.
βœ” Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all documents meet FDA, EU, and ICH guidelines as applicable.

πŸ“‹ Qualifications

πŸŽ“ Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, English, Journalism, or related field.
πŸ“Œ Experience: Significant publishing experience, including using Adobe Acrobat or ISIToolbox.
πŸ“Œ Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong copyediting, data integrity review, and organizational skills.
πŸ“Œ Grammatical Expertise: Familiarity with AMA style guide and understanding of FDA, EU, and ICH regulations.
