Job Purpose

The Senior Executive - Project Manager role is aimed at an experienced professional with exposure to Translational Medicine. This role involves partnering with scientific teams in Translational Medicine (TM) within BBRC and stakeholders at BMS. The responsibilities include managing research/study programs' operational and logistical aspects, such as budgeting, resource planning, supply-chain management, progress tracking, milestone monitoring, timeline management, and deviation handling.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management & Operational Leadership:

    • Lead the operational management of designated projects within Translational Medicine.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish scientific and operational project milestones.
    • Define and document deliverables and timelines for each project stage.
  2. Project Planning & Monitoring:

    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and trackers to monitor progress.
    • Assist in managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
    • Coordinate project initiation discussions and conduct regular follow-up meetings on project status.
  3. Risk Management & Reporting:

    • Perform risk management to minimize potential project risks.
    • Prepare various reports, including timesheets, resource planners, project updates, and productivity-related metrics.
  4. Coordination & Sample Management:

    • Coordinate and track sample shipments, sample manifests, and follow-ups with the sample management team.
    • Ensure accurate preparation and tracking of project trackers and resource planning documents.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with BBRC scientific teams and BMS stakeholders in Translational Medicine.
    • Work closely with BBRC enabling functions (e.g., Supply Chain) and other relevant departments as necessary.

Educational Qualification

  • Master of Science in any domain of life sciences.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.

Technical/Functional Skills

  1. Strong competencies in project management, resource management, and outsourcing.
  2. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  3. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  4. Solid analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  5. Proficiency in quality systems, preparation, and review of SOPs.

Experience

  • 2 to 4 years of industry experience, particularly in project management within the life sciences or pharmaceutical domain.
