Job Summary

The Senior Employee Relations Specialist will provide support to managers and employees, promoting a positive employee experience and offering advice on resolving workplace issues. You will assist in the resolution of escalated Employee Relations (ER) cases and ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage requests and inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution while escalating when necessary.
  • Advise managers on workplace issues and recommend personnel actions in accordance with company policies and local laws.
  • Support managers in preparing corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and coaching for employee conversations.
  • Lead investigations, collect pertinent facts, and recommend actions based on findings.
  • Stay current on Employee Relations practices and local labor laws, sharing knowledge across teams.
  • Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to drive effective resolution and knowledge transfer.
  • Maintain high trust levels with customers and team members, helping them navigate HR services for rapid resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with local labor laws.
  • Perform tasks in line with corporate policies and procedures and as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 to 9 years in HR, with at least 2 to 3 years dedicated to Employee Relations.
  • Certification: PHR or SPHR preferred, or a Master’s degree in HR.
  • Skills:
    • Experience with HR platforms (Workday preferred) and ticketing tools.
    • Strong knowledge of local compliance and labor laws.
    • Proven ability to provide guidance and resolve complex employee issues.
    • Experience with virtual support for employees in multiple locations.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to diverse audiences.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet multiple project deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Travel: Willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
