As a Senior Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inquiries, conducting investigations, and advising managers on workplace issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and local labor laws. You will also support the resolution of escalated ER issues, manage employee relations documentation, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to uphold a fair and compliant workplace environment.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Case Management & Investigation:

    • Manage employee relations cases, conducting investigations and resolving cases within timelines.
    • Advise managers on employee issues, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
    • Escalate cases to relevant stakeholders, ensuring resolution according to company policies.
  2. Policy & Compliance Guidance:

    • Consult with managers on company policies, legal matters, and recommend actions based on company guidelines and local labor laws.
    • Ensure all actions are compliant with applicable laws and internal procedures, fostering a harassment- and discrimination-free workplace.
  3. Support & Communication:

    • Support the HR team by providing guidance on employee relations matters across multiple locations.
    • Facilitate open communication, ensuring empathy and trust with employees while addressing concerns.
  4. Training & Knowledge Sharing:

    • Keep up-to-date with changes in local compliance and labor laws.
    • Contribute to the knowledge transfer within the HR team and participate in the improvement of ER-related processes.
  5. Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Analyze trends in employee relations issues and recommend actions to improve organizational outcomes.
    • Use data to drive the continuous improvement of HR practices and resolve complex issues effectively.
  6. Service Level Management:

    • Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring service levels are maintained and that customer inquiries are resolved promptly and with high quality.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; PHR/SPHR certification and/or Master’s degree in HR preferred.
    • 7-9 years of experience, with 2-3 years focused on employee relations.
    • Familiarity with Workday or other ticketing tools is a plus.
    • Knowledge of local labor laws and employee relations best practices.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and conflict resolution skills.
    • Experience in advising management on employee relations matters and handling sensitive issues.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Additional Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes.
