Role Summary:

Pfizer is looking for a Senior Associate Scientist to join its team, focused on analytical research and development. In this role, you will apply your scientific knowledge to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic, inorganic compounds, or biologics. Your work will support drug development processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality in both early and late-stage drug products. Your contributions will be integral in helping bring breakthroughs to patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Work: Contribute to team goals, working with analytical experts and project teams to provide timely data for regulatory documentation.
  • Analytical Expertise: Perform method development, validation, and transfer activities for small molecules and complex formulations.
  • Laboratory Operations: Maintain and improve laboratory instruments, systems, and practices. Ensure a safe, effective working environment in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Data Management: Record experimental work in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and cGMP guidelines. Troubleshoot and perform assays in a cGMP environment.
  • Scientific Innovation: Independently carry out professional chemistry and biochemistry assignments to support drug development programs and investigations.
  • Collaboration and Presentation: Attend team meetings, present experimental data, and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in a laboratory setting, with experience in method validation and scientific data systems.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of organic chemistry, compound characterization, spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately document experimental work and draw conclusions.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Effective written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in a cGMP laboratory.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical production environments and scientific software.
  • Desire to continue developing technical skills in laboratory practices.

Other Details:

  • Location: On Premise (Pfizer site) – primarily on-site, with occasional flexibility for remote work.
  • Compensation: The annual base salary ranges from $64,600 to $107,600. Eligible for a 7.5% performance-based bonus.
  • Benefits: Includes 401(k) with Pfizer Matching Contributions, medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, and additional benefits.
