About the Team – Antibody Development Team

The Antibody Development Team focuses on engineering and developing high-quality antibodies with strong performance and specificity. The team’s core activities include antibody design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing across various immunoassay applications using advanced technologies and methodologies. The team aims to drive advanced product development and generate high-quality research reagents for scientific use.


Role Overview

The Scientist I – Protein Biology will contribute to antibody development programs by applying innovative molecular biology, protein science, biochemical, and cell biology techniques. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to support research initiatives focused on performance optimization and product development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute experiments meticulously to achieve program objectives.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of experimental results in laboratory notebooks and data systems.

  • Conduct scientific literature reviews to stay updated with advancements in antibody and protein biology research.

  • Compile, analyze, and present research findings in written and oral formats.

  • Actively participate in team meetings and collaborative research activities.

  • Ensure adherence to research timelines, protocols, and quality standards.


Educational Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences with 0–4 years of relevant industry or research experience, or

  • PhD in a Life Sciences discipline (submitted within the last one year).

Relevant fields include:
Protein Biology, Protein Design, Protein Purification, Antibody Development, Protein Conjugation, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry.


Required Technical Skills and Expertise

  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of protein expression and purification.

  • Experience with multiple expression systems, inclusion bodies, and protein refolding techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with protein purification techniques including affinity chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography, and size exclusion chromatography.

  • Experience with automated purification platforms such as AKTA, NGC, or liquid handling systems.

  • Protein characterization using SDS-PAGE and SEC-HPLC.

  • Validation of proteins through immunoassays such as ELISA, Western blot, and immunofluorescence.

  • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and protein engineering methodologies.

  • Familiarity with structural biology, protein modeling, and visualization tools such as PyMOL, Schrödinger, or Discovery Studio is desirable.

  • Experience demonstrated through research projects, publications, thesis work, or technical reports.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and statistical analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism.
