Job Overview
The Scientist I – Protein Biology role focuses on antibody validation and characterization within the Protein Biology team. This position involves supporting large-scale functional validation of antibodies, experimental planning, and data generation to ensure product quality, reproducibility, and research applicability.

The role requires strong expertise in protein biology, immunoassays, and molecular biology techniques, along with the ability to execute laboratory workflows, analyze results, and contribute to scientific innovation in antibody validation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Protein Biology and Antibody Validation

  • Support antibody validation workflows by evaluating target biology and validating antibody performance and reproducibility.

  • Perform antibody characterization using advanced experimental techniques.

  • Apply knowledge of protein biology principles to deliver accurate and reproducible results.

  • Contribute to data generation to support product differentiation and research applications.

Experimental Design and Research Execution

  • Plan and execute experiments aligned with program objectives and timelines.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of experimental results in laboratory notebooks and data systems.

  • Conduct literature reviews to stay updated with advancements in antibody validation and protein biology.

  • Compile and present research findings through written reports and presentations.

  • Participate actively in team discussions and scientific meetings.

Laboratory and Technical Activities

  • Perform cell and molecular biology experimental workflows.

  • Design and develop protein assays and immunoassay-based methodologies.

  • Conduct protein-protein interaction studies such as co-immunoprecipitation.

  • Execute immunoassays including Western blotting, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and ELISA.

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and scientific problem resolution.

  • Utilize computational biology tools and maintain familiarity with biological databases and programming concepts.

Experience Required

  • Master’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant research or industry experience, or a PhD in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related life sciences field.

  • Hands-on experience in protein biology and antibody validation techniques.

  • Experience with immunoassays and molecular biology workflows.

  • Prior experience working in collaborative research environments with demonstrated ability to meet project goals.

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Protein Biology, or related life sciences discipline.

Required Skills and Competencies
