Job Description:

We are seeking a team-oriented Scientist to join the Global Discovery Chemistry Analytical (GDC-AX) group at Client Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR). The ideal candidate will focus on bioanalytical technologies and laboratory automation for in vitro assays. This position involves conducting high throughput assays, including equilibrium solubility, lipophilicity, and melting point determination, using mass spectrometry and HPLC. Troubleshooting and maintaining assay-related automation systems may also be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and interpret data from assays including high throughput equilibrium solubility, lipophilicity, shake flask solubility, and melting point determination.
  • Tuning compounds on mass spectrometers and maintaining solutions for assays and bioanalysis.
  • Perform assays on liquid handlers/automation systems and troubleshoot minor assay-related automation issues.
  • Work with HPLC and mass spectrometry equipment for data interpretation.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team, sharing insights and providing support in a drug discovery environment.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Analytical Chemistry, ADME, Pharmaceutics, PK/PD, or related fields with 0-3 years of experience.
  • Good understanding of laboratory equipment, automation, and software.
  • Strong problem-solving and experimental skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication (written and oral), and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based drug discovery environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced research setting.
