Position Overview

The Safety & PV Technology Project Manager will oversee strategic technology initiatives that modernize pharmacovigilance operations. This includes AI-driven automation, touchless case processing, and operational efficiency improvements across the safety ecosystem. The role requires a strong combination of project management expertise, PV knowledge, and change management skills to deliver technology solutions that align with regulatory and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage PV technology projects from initiation to execution and closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among IT, Safety, STS, business operations, and external vendors.

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and KPIs; proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Represent the Technology Oversight Team in broader STS and safety governance forums.

  • Ensure compliance with PV and regulatory standards during tool implementation and process transformations.

  • Support change management, adoption, and training activities across impacted PV functions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience, including 2–3 years in pharmacovigilance and 2–3 years in project management.

  • Proven experience in cross-functional project management within matrixed environments.

  • In-depth understanding of pharmacovigilance and drug safety processes.

  • Strong ability to manage timelines, stakeholder engagement, and reporting for complex projects.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a proactive mindset.

  • Familiarity with safety databases; Argus Safety experience preferred.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience implementing automation or AI-based initiatives in PV operations.

  • Knowledge of multiple PV/safety databases and digital transformation platforms.

  • Exposure to touchless/intelligent case processing projects.

  • Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are a plus.
