Job Title: Safety Associate Trainee

Job Overview:

This role is based in Kolkata only and involves reviewing, assessing, and processing safety data received from various sources. You will be required to follow applicable regulations, SOPs, and internal guidelines while collaborating with senior operations team members.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and complete assigned trainings on time.

  • Process safety data per applicable regulations, guidelines, SOPs, and project requirements.

  • Perform pharmacovigilance tasks, including but not limited to:

    • Collecting and tracking incoming Adverse Events (AE)/endpoint information.

    • Determining initial/update status of events.

    • Entering data into safety databases.

    • Coding AEs and products, writing narratives.

    • Performing literature-related activities.

  • Take on other workflow responsibilities as directed by Operations team or Manager.

  • Meet defined productivity and quality standards.

  • Identify and report quality problems to senior team members or mentors.

  • Attend project meetings and share operational feedback.

  • Maintain 100% compliance with people processes and practices.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent in a scientific or healthcare discipline.

    • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or an allied discipline preferred.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Knowledge of medical terminology.

    • Strong written and verbal communication.

    • Team-oriented mindset and commitment to group success.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.

    • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow guidelines.

    • Strong time management with the ability to manage competing priorities.

    • Willingness to learn across various Safety service lines.

    • Flexibility to work in shifts and occasional travel as required.


Work Environment & Expectations:

  • Extensive use of keyboard and telephone.

  • Regular sitting for prolonged periods.
