Role Summary

As the Medical Lead for the Lung Oncology Franchise, you will drive medical affairs activities and provide strategic leadership to the Core Medical Team (CMT). Your role involves ensuring the accuracy, balance, and scientific integrity of materials, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborating across functions to advance the brand and therapeutic area.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Affairs Leadership

  • Lead medical affairs initiatives for the Lung Oncology Franchise, ensuring alignment with corporate and regional strategies.

  • Provide medical leadership to the Core Medical Team (CMT).

  • Ensure medical accuracy and balance in promotional and educational materials.

  • Collaborate with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and National Clinical Account Managers to support key accounts.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build relationships with strategic partners, advocacy groups, payers, and providers.

  • Interact with thought leaders, academic institutions, and professional societies within the therapy area.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Patient Safety (PS) physicians to provide medical input into the safety profile of products.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Value Team (CVT) to guide the design and execution of HEOR studies and outcomes surveys.

Strategic Input

  • Support the development of strategic plans for medical and commercial teams.

  • Contribute to FDA submissions and regulatory processes as required.


Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Doctorate in Medicine (M.D., D.O.), PhD, PharmD, or equivalent with relevant experience.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in Medical Affairs.

    • 1–3 years in a headquarters-based role.

    • A minimum of 3+ years of industry, clinical, or research experience, preferably in oncology, rare disease, or related areas.

    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally (up to ~30%).


Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of FDA regulations and guidelines.

  • Experience in strategy development within Medical Affairs.

  • Expertise in oncology, rare diseases, or related areas.

  • Familiarity with Professional Societies and Scientific Medical Experts.

  • Proven ability to navigate complex business challenges.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical drug development.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Pay: $185,413–$278,119 annually.

  • Eligibility for short-term incentives, long-term equity-based incentives, and retirement contributions.
