Job Description

Reporting and Team Collaboration

  • Report to the senior team leader.
  • Work with a group of in vitro assay biologists.
  • Learn and coach group members to improve skills and productivity.
  • Conduct day-to-day testing and profiling of compounds in cells/protein-based assays or experiments in a team-oriented environment.
  • Analyze, interpret, draw conclusions, and test new methodologies.
  • Multitask, recognize problems, provide input to solutions, draft reports, and properly document experiments.
  • Present results proficiently within the lab, at project or review meetings, and for other internal/external parties as needed.

Assay Development and Data Analysis

  • Perform all ADME assays.
  • Develop methods and collect data using LC-MS/MS and other modalities (absorbance/fluorescence).
  • Develop new assays for ADME activities.
  • Analyze data from enzyme activities using GraphPad Prism and MS Excel.
  • Analyze MS data using Sciex.

Report Compilation and Collaboration

  • Compile reports and interface with collaborators and clients.
  • Coordinate with third-party collaborators for PK studies (animal models).

General Lab Contributions

  • Contribute to group activities such as ordering, stocking, and follow-up.
  • Take responsibility for ordering lab supplies and keeping the lab stocked and in good order.
  • Work closely with other biology groups involved in screening, cell biology, protein biology, and ADME.
  • Offer integrated drug discovery support alongside chemistry for multiple client-based projects.

Job Requirements

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 2-4 years of working experience with LC-MS/MS, HPLC, bio-analytical studies, etc.
  • Hands-on/practical exposure to general biotech laboratory equipment (cell-culture lab, in-vitro and ADME lab).
  • Theoretical understanding and practical work experience with:
    • Cell culture techniques (established cell lines).
    • ADME assays (microsomal stability, plasma stability, solubility, permeability, CYP inhibition assays, plasma protein binding assays, etc.).
  • High self-motivation to initiate projects and work independently under aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong technical knowledge with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of laboratory tools, techniques, methods, and underlying principles.
