The Opportunity:

The Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) will serve as a key representative, engaging with stakeholders to provide scientific expertise and support the company’s medical strategy across assigned regions, products, and therapy areas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Expertise:

    • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of company products, therapeutic areas, and scientific research.

    • Stay updated on clinical advancements, guidelines, and treatment protocols.

  • SL & KDM Engagement:

    • Build and maintain relationships with Scientific Leaders (SLs), Key Decision Makers (KDMs), and healthcare professionals.

    • Engage in scientific discussions, present clinical data, and provide educational support.

  • Medical Strategy Support:

    • Provide strategic inputs and expertise to product management for ethical promotion of assigned products.

  • Medical Education:

    • Educate internal stakeholders, including sales and marketing teams.

    • Develop and deliver training materials, scientific symposia, and presentations.

  • Scientific Exchange:

    • Facilitate knowledge transfer between the company and external stakeholders.

    • Participate in conferences, advisory boards, and scientific meetings.

  • Clinical Data Communication:

    • Communicate clinical trial data and real-world evidence to healthcare professionals and regulators.

  • Clinical Research Support:

    • Provide medical support for local studies and identify study sites for Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs).

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access teams to align on medical communication plans.

  • Medical Information:

    • Address medical inquiries and provide accurate responses to healthcare professionals.

    • Ensure all medical information materials are updated and compliant.

  • Sales Force Training:

    • Provide medical training to sales teams and assist in pre-launch and launch training.

  • Compliance:

    • Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines, ensuring ethical conduct.


Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Medical Degree (MD), Ph.D., or relevant degree in biology, pharmacology, or related fields.

  • Industry Experience: Minimum 1 year in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries, preferably in clinical research or medical affairs.

  • Therapeutic Area Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge in the relevant therapeutic area.

  • Scientific Knowledge: Strong understanding of clinical trial design, data analysis, and emerging trends.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and provide strategic insights.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GCP, ICH guidelines, and local medical communication regulations.
