Primary Job Responsibilities
The Regional Sales Manager will execute business and sales strategies to promote growth in the business. This role is pivotal in driving the success of key products while overseeing sales activities, assessing competition, and fostering effective communication with stakeholders.


Core Job Responsibilities

Sales Management

  1. Achieve Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Sales Targets

    • Achieve sales targets by area, C&F (Carry & Forward) agents, and by brand.
    • Monitor unit-wise and value-wise sales on a monthly basis for pillar and focus brands.
  2. Secondary Sales Targets

    • Secure secondary orders and forward them to respective C&F agents by the 10th of each month.
    • Ensure the secondary sales process aligns with overall sales objectives.
  3. Sales Planning & Execution

    • Contribute to the monthly sales planning exercise with C&F agents to avoid stock-outs.
    • Create requirements and plan for the deployment of business associates under C&F agents.
    • Assist in the launch of new products and drive sales penetration for these launches.
  4. Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Management

    • Communicate sales schemes (for stockists, retailers, etc.) and strategies across the channel.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders like stockists, retailers, and C&F agents.
    • Work with C&F agents on a daily basis to ensure smooth business operations and strong customer service.
  5. Financial Management

    • Aid C&F agents in securing payments from stockists before due dates (>= 70%) and work to avoid cheque bounces.
    • Ensure timely and efficient collection processes with stockists and partners.
  6. Operational Excellence

    • Regularly assess C&F infrastructure to ensure top-quality customer service.
    • Ensure the governance of C&F operations and processes according to pre-defined SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Education & Experience

Education

  • Graduate/Post-graduate degree holder in any relevant field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in traded generics.

Age

  • Candidates should not exceed 35 years of age.

    • Ability to assess the competitive landscape and adjust strategies accordingly.

    • Proven track record of driving sales targets and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
