About the Role

The Rare Disease Manager will lead business development and sales efforts with specialist healthcare providers, enhance market education, and drive brand adoption within the rare disease space. This role ensures alignment with commercial strategies and company policies while fostering relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan, incorporating market insights, competitor analysis, and customer needs to optimize patient access and achieve business objectives.
  • Raise disease awareness and facilitate patient identification by mapping and supporting referral pathways from non-expert to expert centers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing high-quality scientific information and ethical support.
  • Execute strategic account plans, ensuring effective engagement with all key stakeholders to maximize product access and sales.
  • Share market intelligence with internal teams to anticipate industry trends and refine brand strategies.
  • Leverage data tools (CRM, dashboards, omnichannel platforms) to optimize brand execution.
  • Represent the company at scientific congresses while maintaining ethical and compliant behavior.
  • Act as the "voice of the customer", contributing to the development of value-adding materials and services.

Role Expectations

  • Travel: Required for territory coverage and company events.
  • Hours: Full-time, field-based position.
  • Skills: Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and in-depth industry knowledge.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability to adapt to various customer styles and execute effective sales strategies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or certification under § 75AMG.
  • Experience: Background in rare disease sales, in-hospital referral networks, and drug launches in uncharted markets.
  • Skills: Entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication, and CRM proficiency.
  • Languages: Fluent German (native) and English (scientific and business proficiency).
  • License: Valid driver’s license.
