Position Description

The Quality-Medical Affairs Professional (Q-MAP) is a therapeutically aligned clinical scientist, focusing on quality reviews for both promotional and non-promotional content. This role is vital to Lilly’s Medical Affairs organization, providing scientific insight and contributing to the development, review, and approval of materials while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The Q-MAP serves as a key clinical and scientific partner, ensuring our medical communications meet internal standards and external customer needs.


Primary Responsibilities

Brand Team Support:

  • Serve as a key medical point of contact for the brand team.

  • Contribute clinical and scientific knowledge to support cross-functional teams.

  • Provide scientific and creative input for the development of local promotional and non-promotional materials.

  • Support the medical training needs of internal business partners.

  • Communicate therapeutic landscape insights and medical/scientific information.

Scientific Expertise and Medical Affairs Delivery:

  • Support data analysis and development of slide decks, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.

  • Collaborate with Clinical Research Physicians (CRPs), Clinical Research Scientists (CRSs), and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Ensure scientific data disclosures are accurate and aligned with Scientific Data Disclosure (SDD) plans.

  • Stay current with relevant medical literature, clinical practices, and market trends.

  • Offer scientific and creative input for developing global and regional medical materials.


Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, etc.) in health sciences with ≥2 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience. — OR —

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (MBBS, BDS, PharmD, MSc Nursing, etc.) in health sciences with ≥2 years of clinical experience.

  • Relevant scientific industry experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and project management skills.

  • Ability to translate scientific data into clear, compliant, and engaging customer communications.

  • Proven ability to work across multiple functions, including Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, and Payer teams.

  • High workload capacity and ability to manage and prioritize complex deliverables.


Additional Preferences

  • The Q-MAP role is office-based or hybrid-based, depending on geographic necessity.

  • Knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and scientific developments.

  • Ability to stay informed of clinical practice trends and access issues.
