Position Overview

Roche is seeking a dedicated Production Technician (2nd Shift) to support its manufacturing operations within the Strip Conversion area. This role plays a critical part in the production, packaging, and labeling of high-quality diagnostic products, specifically within the ACCU-CHEK® diabetes care portfolio. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will operate automated and semi-automated equipment, follow standardized procedures, and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, quality-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor automated or semi-automated production equipment according to established procedures.

  • Follow written instructions, process sheets, and supervisor guidance to complete production tasks accurately.

  • Inspect components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and required tolerances.

  • Maintain material and supply levels to support continuous production activities.

  • Support quality system requirements through adherence to GMP and documentation accuracy.

  • Complete process orders, documentation, records, and metrics with precision.

  • Conduct routine cleaning and line clearance activities in accordance with SOPs.

  • Troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues and participate in problem-solving initiatives.

  • Uphold housekeeping and safety standards within the packaging and production areas.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and provide support within the assigned work area.

  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Understanding of GMP principles and familiarity with ISO standards.

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.

  • Competency in standard computer applications and software.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of standard safety procedures.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.


Preferred Experience

  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly within a regulated industry.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.

  • Flexibility to adjust work hours if needed.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range (Indianapolis, IN): USD 35,600 – 66,000 annually.
    Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and geographic considerations.

  • Eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus.

  • This position includes access to Roche’s comprehensive benefits package.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
