Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Delivery:

    • Effectively train new joiners on medical coding concepts, including Trauma and Surgery, as per client guidelines.
    • Develop and implement structured training sessions to meet the required learning objectives.
    • Conduct educational sessions on client specifications, coding guidelines, and industry updates.
  2. Performance Monitoring:

    • Monitor trainees' productivity and quality during On-the-Job Training (OJT).
    • Ensure trainees meet glide path and ramp-up targets.
    • Conduct one-on-one feedback sessions for recurring errors and provide corrective guidance.
  3. Quality Assurance:

    • Understand and communicate quality requirements and targets effectively.
    • Pass on Quality Control (QC) feedback to trainees and ensure adherence to coding standards.
    • Assist team leads in early confirmation of trainees by providing performance insights.
  4. Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated on coding trends, guidelines, and client updates to ensure accurate knowledge transfer.
    • Work collaboratively with team leads and quality teams to enhance training effectiveness.
    • Implement varied coaching strategies tailored to individual trainee needs.

Job Specification:

Education and Certification:

  • Any graduate (preferred medical/healthcare-related fields).
  • Must hold certifications such as CPC, CCS, COC, or AHIMA.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in medical coding, with expertise in Trauma and Surgery coding.
  • Proven track record of coaching and training in a professional environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of medical coding principles and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering training materials.
  • Analytical mindset to evaluate trainee performance and suggest improvements.
