As a Principal Statistical Programmer (P23 Level), you’ll be a senior-level individual contributor providing leadership, expertise, and execution for programming tasks within clinical trials. You will be responsible for statistical data management, coding, reporting, mentoring, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Develop and maintain statistical programming standards and best practices
Lead and guide the development of statistical programs
Collaborate with statisticians and stakeholders to define and meet programming needs
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across statistical outputs
Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues
Mentor junior programmers and provide technical training
Participate in process improvement initiatives
Design and implement efficient programming solutions to meet project specifications
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Stay updated with advancements in statistical programming tools and regulations
Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
Extensive experience in statistical programming, ideally in clinical research or pharma
Hands-on expertise with SAS, R, or Python
In-depth understanding of CDISC (SDTM, ADaM) and statistical methodologies
SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 (preferred)
Strong expertise in statistical programming and data analysis
Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lead projects and work independently
Develop and deliver programs and outputs for statisticians or business/client use
Create complex datasets, tables, listings, and graphs
Optimize and improve programming processes
Mentor junior professionals and lead technical discussions
Drive cross-functional collaboration across departments
