๐ง Job Responsibilities
As a Principal Statistical Programmer, your core responsibilities will include:
๐ ๏ธ Programming & Development
Develop and maintain statistical programming standards, tools, and best practices
Design and implement efficient programming solutions tailored to project requirements
Write and validate SAS, R, or Python programs to support statistical analysis
Create and manage statistical tables, listings, and graphs
๐ Data Integrity & Quality
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of statistical outputs
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues
๐ค Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with statisticians, data managers, and other cross-functional teams
Mentor and train junior programmers and peers
Lead technical discussions and project-based decision-making
๐ Process Improvement
Evaluate current programming processes, propose enhancements, and drive automation
Stay current with industry trends and integrate new technologies where applicable
๐ Qualifications
๐ Education
Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in:
Statistics
Computer Science
Mathematics
Related scientific/technical fields
๐ง Experience
Extensive experience in statistical programming (preferably in clinical trials, CRO, pharma, or biotech industries)
Experience with clinical trial data standards (e.g., CDISC, SDTM, ADaM)
๐ป Technical Skills
Proficiency in:
SAS (Base, Macro, SQL)
R and/or Python
Deep understanding of statistical methods and clinical data analysis
โ Certifications (Preferred)
SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 or equivalent
๐ก Necessary Skills
Expertise in statistical programming and data analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards

Developing programs to support statistical analysis and reporting
Creating ADaM datasets, TLGs, and submission-ready outputs
Managing complex data workflows and project-level programming activities

Play a strategic role in delivering programming solutions with a measurable impact
Lead or contribute to projects spanning multiple departments
