About the Role

As part of the Discovery Proteomic Platforms (DPP) group within the Multiomics Discovery Team, the Principal Scientist will contribute to cutting-edge research by building and applying advanced proteomic platforms to support drug discovery efforts in Oncology, Immunology, and Neuroscience.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in single-cell and spatial proteomics, mass spectrometry, and liquid chromatography to support target identification, validation, and therapeutic optimization in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and deployment of novel single cell and spatial proteomics platforms.

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including bioinformatics and biostatistics experts, to derive actionable insights.

  • Design and perform wet-lab experiments for:

    • Target engagement and identification

    • Therapeutic optimization

    • Interactome analysis

  • Operate and maintain next-generation LC-MS systems, ensuring high-throughput and high-quality data generation.

  • Present findings at internal meetings and contribute to project discussions.

  • Demonstrate scientific creativity and propose innovative solutions aligned with strategic goals.


Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or related field

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in an industrial mass spectrometry lab

    • Proven expertise in liquid chromatography (Vanquish Neo or Evosep One) and mass spectrometry (Bruker timsTOF, Thermo Tribrid)

    • Strong experience in processing and analyzing large-scale proteomics datasets

    • Skilled in single-cell or spatial proteomics

    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment

    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting

  • Familiarity with Thermo Astral and Evosep instruments

  • Experience with lab automation platforms such as:

    • AssayMAP Bravo

    • Beckman Biomek

    • Hamilton Microlab STAR

    • TECAN Fluent

    • Dynamic Devices Lynx

  • Experience in microscopy for spatial proteomics or handling systems like Cellenone and Uno


Compensation

Anticipated Base Pay Range:
$115,000 – $197,800 USD

Additional Compensation:

  • Eligible for annual performance bonus

  • Eligible for long-term incentive program
