Job Title: Principal SAS Programmer
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Principal SAS Programmer to join our growing team. This senior role involves leading complex programming projects and managing programming teams to deliver high-quality analysis datasets and reports, adhering to CDISC and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute programming deliverables on one high-complexity project or two moderate complexity studies
Manage and oversee the assigned programming team’s deliverables at both study and program levels
Create and validate Safety and Efficacy Analysis Datasets in line with CDISC and client-specific standards, ensuring quality and accuracy
Develop study-specific or general macros, and finalize programming specifications/mock-ups
Follow programming specifications and study requirements, completing and filing all necessary documentation
Plan and organize workload for effective time management and timely project delivery
Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues efficiently and promptly
Collaborate proactively with biostatistics teams (including remote) and senior management to meet study goals
Demonstrate flexibility and a constructive approach in managing project priorities and timelines
Utilize strong knowledge of standard programs and macros for development and debugging
Participate in department initiatives, including knowledge sharing, literature reviews, and process improvement
Review and approve programming procedures and techniques
Participate in sponsor audit meetings as required
Foster and maintain effective client relationships through clear communication and project management
Keep management updated on project status, quality, timelines, and performance issues

Extensive experience with SAS programming
Subject Matter Expert in SDTM and ADaM datasets
Strong people management and team leadership skills
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
