Position Summary:
At Rite Aid, we are excited to offer a dynamic and fulfilling career opportunity for a Pharmacist. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in assisting customers with their healthcare needs and maximizing health outcomes. Your responsibilities will include filling prescriptions, providing clinical services, advising on therapies, delivering excellent customer service, and supervising pharmacy associates. You will be expected to make frequent independent judgments while ensuring all tasks are performed in accordance with Rite Aid policies, as well as state and federal laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Assist customers in managing health conditions with pharmacological and non-pharmacological options, offering guidance via preferred communication methods. (15% of time)
  • Clinical Pharmacy Services: Provide services such as adherence support, immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), point-of-care testing, diagnostic testing, and prescriptive authority to improve patient outcomes. (15% of time)
  • Business Development: Leverage products and services to build a profitable retail business and increase script growth. (15% of time)
  • Prescription Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing necessary drug reviews and quality assurance in compliance with regulatory standards. (15% of time)
  • Patient Care: Collaborate with providers and patient care teams to deliver personalized care, whether in-person, telephonically, or through digital means. (10% of time)
  • Supervision & Training: Assist the Pharmacy Manager in supervising pharmacy associates, providing coaching and feedback. (10% of time)
  • Customer Service: Handle and resolve customer issues to ensure satisfaction. (5% of time)
  • Certification & Education: Complete required certifications and training, including Whole Being Health, clinical service activities, and regulatory compliance. (5% of time)
  • Pharmacy Security & Standard Work: Maintain appropriate security and follow Standard Work protocols to ensure consistent practices. (5% of time)

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (Required)
    • Pharm.D. (Preferred)
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Active Pharmacist License in the state where practicing (Required)
    • Immunization Certification (Required)
    • CPR Certification (Required)
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong customer relationship-building abilities
    • Ability to adapt and drive innovation in pharmacy practices
    • Effective leadership skills for talent development and team supervision
    • Adaptability to changing work responsibilities and environments
    • Excellent stress tolerance and ability to perform under pressure

Pay Rate: $65.00/hour - $71.50/hour

Work Experience:

  • Experience in a pharmacy setting is required.
