Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacist at Rite Aid, you'll play a critical role in assisting customers with their healthcare needs and ensuring the best health outcomes by:

  • Providing guidance on pharmacological and non-pharmacological options for health condition management, using clinical tools and communicating based on customer preferences.
  • Offering clinical pharmacy services, such as adherence support, immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), point-of-care testing (POCT), diagnostic testing, and more, to improve patient outcomes.
  • Promoting retail business growth and script expansion through the utilization of products and services.
  • Ensuring prescription accuracy by completing Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with all regulations.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers and patient care teams to deliver excellent patient care through various communication methods (in-person, telephonic, digital).
  • Supporting the Pharmacy Manager by supervising pharmacy associates, training, coaching, and providing performance feedback.
  • Handling customer issues to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns effectively.
  • Completing all required certifications, education, and training to support ongoing professional development.
  • Ensuring the security of the Pharmacy department and adherence to Rite Aid's standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education Requirements:
    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BS)
    • Preferred: Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
  • Licenses/Certifications Required:
    • Pharmacist License in the state of practice
    • Immunization Certification
    • CPR Certification

Pay Rate: $65.00/hour
