Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at a private pharmacy in John Day, OR. This is a full-time opportunity offering a supportive work environment with wonderful management and staff. As a pharmacist, you will provide essential pharmaceutical care, ensure safe medication practices, and contribute to the overall health and wellness of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Provide medication counseling to patients on proper use, dosage, side effects, and interactions.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication therapy management.
Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary medications.
Ensure the security and proper storage of medications, especially controlled substances.
Handle and resolve patient inquiries or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Keep detailed and accurate records of prescriptions, patient interactions, and medication dispensing.
Stay up-to-date on pharmaceutical practices, new drugs, and medical advancements.
Participate in pharmacy-related administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree from an accredited program.
Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
Experience: New graduates are welcome to apply. Prior pharmacy experience is a plus but not required.
