About the Role:

NurseStar Medical Partners is seeking a pharmacist to join their team at a robust ambulatory healthcare service center in Hoopa, CA. This facility serves the greater Hoopa Valley and is accredited by The Joint Commission. The role requires working with a culturally diverse Native American community, being sensitive to their traditions and needs.

Compensation:

  • Pay Rate: $3,500 to $3,750 per week
  • Benefits: Dental, Medical, Vision, Paid Time Off, Travel reimbursement, Mobile Timekeeping, Lodging options.

Schedule:

  • Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Closed for lunch: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
  • Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday: Closed until 2:00 PM.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred, with 1-year residency).
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience.
  • Certifications:

    • CPR and BLS certifications are required.
  • Licensing:

    • Active California state pharmacy license.
  • Security & Clearance:

    • All applicants are subject to a high level of security clearance.
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review physician orders for accuracy and clarify with prescribers when necessary.
  • Complete annual IV Room competency and prepare compounded sterile products accurately.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of the Native American community and maintain cultural awareness in all interactions.
