Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Operational Excellence Manager who will lead and drive continuous improvement efforts across various departments at our site. This role involves leading transformational projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and fostering a culture of excellence focused on improving cost, quality, safety, service, lead time, and inventories. You will be a driving force behind implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, coaching project teams, and supporting the local management in building a sustainable continuous improvement culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the operational excellence culture, collaborating with leadership and teams to align on long-term goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, distribution, and supply chain teams to identify improvement opportunities and execute change initiatives.
  • Project Management: Lead key improvement projects and mentor Black and Green Belts, facilitating Kaizen events and tollgate reviews to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), publish monthly OpEx reports, and present progress to the leadership team.
  • Training & Development: Conduct Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) training for project teams and act as a mentor for continuous improvement leaders.
  • Best Practices: Capture and share best practices across sites to foster a culture of operational excellence throughout the organization.

Skills & Competencies

  • Inspirational leadership with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in leading successful projects and driving impactful change.
  • Strategic thinker with a clear vision for world-class change management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma, including tools like Value Stream Mapping (VSM), TPM, and Six Sigma analytical methods.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., B. Tech / Engineering).
  • Experience: 8+ years in a similar role with expertise in continuous improvement.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.
  • Industry Experience: Preferred experience in Healthcare, Pharma, FMCG, or Chemicals.
  • Experience in deploying production systems and leading OpEx initiatives.
