Contribution of Contracts and Billing to Cardinal Health

The Contracts and Billing department at Cardinal Health plays a crucial role in financial operations, encompassing activities such as customer and vendor contract administration, pricing management, rebates, billing (including dropships), chargebacks, vendor invoicing, and the development and negotiation of customer and group purchasing contracts.

This team demonstrates a solid understanding of financial processes, systems, and controls while fostering collaboration within a finance environment that emphasizes strong internal controls. They are knowledgeable about service level goals and objectives, ensuring effective customer support. The team is adept at handling non-standard requests from both vendors and customers and possesses strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Open, sort, and distribute inbound mail and business replies.
  • Index documents into the document storage system (Onbase).
  • Update marketing consent status in the system (RGH).
  • Bill secondary claims through Quadax.
  • Update addresses from returned HCFA claims mail.
  • Add missing information (codes, etc.) on HCFA claims and send them out.
  • Process customer and Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) credit card payments.
  • Address database tickets from Access.
  • Distribute miscellaneous billing faxes from the Onbase workflow queue.
  • Mail Patient Consent (PA) projects as needed.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as required by business needs.
  • Support Revenue Cycle Management Analysts who work remotely.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Prior administrative support experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in medical facilities (doctor's office, hospital, etc.) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data entry or database work is preferred.

Expectations

  • Acquire job skills and understand company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks.
  • Work on basic and routine assignments, following prescribed processes and guidelines.
  • Maintain close supervision and follow detailed instructions.
  • Seek regular guidance and advice from supervisors.

  • Hourly Range: $16.00 - $16.50
