Job Purpose:

To ensure proactive implementation and continuous improvement of EHS standards within the manufacturing unit. The Officer will assess, advise, and implement necessary safety measures to prevent personal injuries, enforce statutory compliance, conduct plant safety inspections, and promote a culture of safety by establishing and monitoring safe practices.


Key Accountabilities:

  1. Preventive Safety Measures:

    • Minimize incidents across the unit to safeguard employees and stakeholders.

    • Identify unsafe physical conditions or practices and recommend corrective actions.

  2. Emergency Preparedness:

    • Assess and improve preparedness to reduce the human and property impact during emergencies.

    • Conduct drills and evaluate emergency response systems.

  3. Activity Execution & Compliance:

    • Execute planned EHS activities and promotional campaigns.

    • Ensure adherence to statutory safety regulations and company safety policies.


Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Science Graduate in Chemistry OR

    • Diploma/Degree with Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of EHS experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industries
