Job Opportunity: Nursing Administrative Assistant

As a Nursing Administrative Assistant, you will provide vital clerical support to our nursing team, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to high-quality care for our residents. Your efforts will be key to maintaining organization and efficiency in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting & Assistance: Provide a warm welcome to visitors, residents, and staff both in person and over the phone.
  • Documentation: Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining accurate resident and staff records.
  • Scheduling: Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings, coordinating with the healthcare team.
  • Clerical Support: Help with data entry, filing, and inventory management of office supplies.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the healthcare team to support nursing operations, including MDS, Case Management, and Scheduling.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional office administration coursework or certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and previous experience in long-term care is beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office software and basic computer skills.
  • Compassion: Empathy and patience, with the ability to relate tactfully to residents, families, and staff.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting.
