Job Summary

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) will act as a field-based scientific expert in gene therapy, engaging healthcare professionals (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in scientific discussions and peer-to-peer exchanges related to recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP). This role requires expertise in Otolaryngology and Gene Therapy, working closely with KOLs, professional societies, clinics, and research institutions to advance scientific knowledge and best practices in treating RRP with AdenoVerse® gene therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary medical point of contact within the assigned region.
  • Maintain clinical and scientific expertise in otolaryngology pathophysiology and gene therapy.
  • Conduct scientific peer exchanges with KOLs on clinical trials, treatment standards, and the company pipeline.
  • Develop and execute KOL engagement plans, identifying and maintaining long-term relationships with influential medical professionals.
  • Facilitate discussions around patient care pathways, treatment protocol development, and novel therapies.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams, clinical trial sites, and investigators to support company-sponsored research.
  • Participate in advisory boards, medical congresses, and professional meetings to represent the company.
  • Serve as a resource for investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs) and respond to unsolicited medical/scientific information requests.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams based on KOL interactions to help shape company strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate SOPs, legal regulations, and industry guidelines.
  • Provide scientific and medical training to internal teams as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, NP/PA, or equivalent).
  • MSL: At least 2 years of prior MSL experience, with at least 1 year in rare diseases, oncology, or immunology (gene therapy preferred).
  • Sr. MSL: At least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and 3 years of rare disease, oncology, or immunology experience.
  • Gene Therapy experience is strongly preferred.
  • Previous product launch experience required.
  • Strong scientific, business, and clinical acumen with excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to interpret and present scientific data effectively to KOLs and medical professionals.
  • Familiarity with payer systems, formulary committees, and value-based healthcare is a plus.
  • Ability to travel frequently (70%), including overnight stays for KOL meetings, site visits, congresses, and internal meetings.
