Medical Writer – Italian Language

Job Summary

The Medical Writer – Italian Language is responsible for developing scientifically accurate, regulatory-compliant, and culturally appropriate medical and promotional content in Italian for pharmaceutical and healthcare products. The role requires expertise in medical writing, regulatory compliance, and localization of healthcare communications while ensuring alignment with regional regulations governing pharmaceutical promotion and advertising.


Key Responsibilities

Medical & Promotional Content Development

  • Author and review scientifically accurate medical and promotional content in Italian.

  • Develop clear, concise, and evidence-based messaging for pharmaceutical and healthcare products.

  • Ensure content effectively communicates key scientific and clinical information to target audiences.

  • Adapt content for various communication channels while maintaining scientific integrity.

Regulatory & Compliance Review

  • Ensure all content complies with regional pharmaceutical advertising and promotional regulations.

  • Maintain adherence to company standards, industry guidelines, and local regulatory requirements.

  • Review materials for medical accuracy, compliance, consistency, and appropriateness.

  • Support Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review processes.

Medical Writing & Localization

  • Translate and localize global medical content into Italian while preserving scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.

  • Adapt medical and marketing materials to align with local healthcare practices and cultural considerations.

  • Ensure terminology and messaging are consistent across all communication materials.

  • Support multilingual content development initiatives.

Content Types

  • Create and maintain:

    • Promotional and non-promotional medical content

    • Product communication materials

    • Scientific communication documents

    • Digital healthcare content

    • Educational materials for healthcare professionals

    • Regulatory and compliance-related content

    • Marketing claims and product messaging

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Brand Teams, and Global Content Teams.

  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure scientific accuracy.

  • Participate in content review meetings and provide medical writing expertise.

  • Support global and regional content development projects.

Digital Content & Platforms

  • Utilize content management and digital platforms such as:

    • Veeva Vault

    • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

    • Other medical content management systems

  • Support digital content publishing and maintenance activities.

  • Ensure consistency and quality across digital communication channels.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Stay updated on pharmaceutical regulations, healthcare communication trends, and industry best practices.

  • Contribute to process improvements and content development efficiencies.

  • Support knowledge-sharing and training initiatives within the team.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medicine, Healthcare, Linguistics, or a related field.

  • Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences background preferred.

Experience

  • 2–7 years of experience in Medical Writing, Regulatory Writing, Medical Communications, Content Development, or Healthcare Communications.

  • Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, healthcare, or life sciences organizations.

  • Experience working with multilingual or localized healthcare content is preferred.
