Role Overview

As a Scribe-X Medical Scribe, you will work alongside healthcare providers across various specialties to document patient encounters in real time. Your role is vital to the patient care team, contributing to improved access to care for diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare charts in accordance with clinic protocols.
Accompany providers during patient visits to document:
- Patient history.
- Physical exams.
- Procedures and patient plans.
Remind providers of relevant quality metrics and document accordingly.
Enter lab, radiographic studies, and medication orders as directed by providers.
Document and print patient instructions.
Review completed charts with providers between visits or at the end of shifts.
Maintain and update provider and clinic preference documents as needed.

Requirements

Typing speed of 60+ WPM.
Availability to work 30-40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8 AM–6 PM PST).
A HIPAA-compliant workspace to ensure the privacy of patient information.
Fluent in English, with excellent writing and speaking skills.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience in a related field.
Pre-health career track is strongly preferred.
GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive hourly pay: $11.00 - $17.00, based on location, experience, and commitment.
$1.00/hour bonus for bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates.
Paid training for up to 30.5 hours.
401K eligibility after 12 months.
