💼 About the Role
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Senior MSL in Next Gen Immunology (Dermatology & Rheumatology), you’ll play a pivotal role in scientific engagement, clinical collaboration, and stakeholder education across Virginia and West Virginia.
You’ll serve as a scientific expert within Sanofi’s US Medical Next Gen Immunology team, a key division of the Medical Specialty Care Organization, reporting to the East Regional MSL Director.
Your mission:
To bridge clinical innovation and real-world application, helping bring next-generation immunology therapies to patients faster.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
🔹 Scientific Expertise & Engagement
Demonstrate deep understanding of disease pathophysiology, management protocols, and competitive landscape.
Communicate medical and scientific value of Sanofi’s products to HCPs, KOLs, investigators, and payers.
Maintain long-term, strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and stakeholders.
🔹 Field & Medical Strategy Execution
Develop and execute a territory engagement plan aligned with Medical and Brand strategies.
Support clinical trials in collaboration with US R&D Field Medical Directors and the Clinical Studies Unit.
Respond to unsolicited Investigator Sponsored Study (ISS) requests and assist with internal processes.

Critically analyze scientific literature and stakeholder feedback to generate actionable insights.
Identify potential research opportunities and support evidence-generation initiatives.
Share field insights to enhance medical and brand strategies.
🔹 Education & Support
Organize scientific advisory boards, educational events, and speaker training sessions.
Represent Sanofi at national, regional, and global medical conferences.
Provide scientific site engagement and facilitate patient recruitment for ongoing studies.
🔹 Compliance & Ethics
Uphold ethical standards in all interactions and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow company SOPs and field medical policies.
🎓 Qualifications
Education
Advanced scientific or medical degree required:
MD, PharmD, PhD, or Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience as an MSL or in a clinical/pharmacy role.
Experience in Dermatology or Rheumatology preferred.
Technical & Interpersonal Skills
Strong ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific data clearly.
Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital engagement tools.
Strong problem-solving mindset, adaptability, and strategic agility.
