Position Overview

As a Field-Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will play a critical role in providing clinical and scientific education to improve patient outcomes.
This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clinical advisors, laboratorians, clinicians, professional societies, and patient advocacy organizations.

You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs teams to deliver impactful education, foster scientific partnerships, and support the clinical adoption of Binding Site diagnostic technologies.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Clinical Engagement

  • Act as the primary scientific liaison between Binding Site and laboratory or healthcare system customers.

  • Deliver scientific and educational presentations (both virtual and in-person) to diverse audiences including key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinicians, laboratory directors, and executives.

  • Prioritize customer needs to deliver tailored scientific support and enhance the use of Binding Site diagnostics such as the upcoming EXENT MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Implement and manage KOL engagement strategies to support scientific, marketing, and commercial goals.

  • Represent the company at regional and national conferences, trade shows, and scientific meetings.

  • Serve as an internal consultant by providing customer insights to inform product development, marketing, and medical strategy.

Scientific & Research Support

  • Support scientific collaborations, studies, and clinical partnerships aligned with business and research objectives.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Binding Site’s product portfolio, including analytical and clinical performance, manufacturing, and QA processes.

  • Handle off-label inquiries strictly in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.


Qualifications

Education

  • Advanced clinical/science degree (e.g., PhD, MD, NP, PA) required.

  • Specialization in immunology, hematology/oncology, biochemistry, or mass spectrometry highly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in healthcare, life sciences, or diagnostics industry.

  • Proven background in clinical, hospital, or laboratory settings with strong customer-facing experience.

  • Demonstrated success in scientific presentations, data analysis, and manuscript writing.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong scientific acumen and ability to communicate complex data clearly.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven customer focus and relationship-building capabilities.

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to travel 25–75%, including occasional weekend and international trips.


Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Sit, stand, or walk for 6–8 hours daily.

  • Manual dexterity for handling tools, telephones, and computers.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (e.g., luggage or demo equipment).

  • Normal visual and auditory functions required.

  • Frequent travel via car and airplane.


Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range (Colorado):

$90,900 – $125,000 per year
Eligible for annual performance-based bonus.
