Role Summary:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will represent Sun Pharmaceutical by engaging with healthcare providers (HCPs), thought leaders, payers, and managed care accounts to deliver scientific and educational information about Dermatology products. The MSL will be trained to respond to complex scientific inquiries, acting as a critical field resource for both HCPs and internal sales and market teams.


Key Responsibilities:

Scientific Communication & Engagement:

  • Interact with healthcare providers and thought leaders to advance Sun Pharma's scientific platform.

  • Communicate complex scientific information and research to HCPs.

  • Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers.

Investigator Sponsored Research & Sponsorship Support:

  • Respond to ISS proposals and manage their transition into Sun for review and potential funding.

  • Support SUN-sponsored research and serve as the point of contact for HCPs if ISS research is funded.

Field & Relationship Development:

  • Identify and train members of Sun’s speakers’ bureau, ensuring they are updated on new data.

  • Foster scientific relationships between Sun Pharma and Fellows in training.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to uncover business opportunities for Sun and align customer needs with internal resources.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to MSL compliance standards and all relevant SOPs and regulations.

  • Provide feedback from field interactions with healthcare providers and Thought Leaders to internal stakeholders.

Team Collaboration & Training:

  • Act as a team player, collaborating with SUN clinical and commercial personnel.

  • Assist in training SUN staff and contribute to MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctorate/Terminal degree required (e.g., PharmD, MD, DO, DNP, or PhD).

  • Experience:

    • Dermatology background strongly preferred.

    • 1-3 years of clinical, research, and/or field medical experience.

  • Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

    • Ability to communicate complex clinical and non-clinical information effectively.

    • Demonstrated project management ability.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Travel: Up to 60-70%.

    • Valid driver’s license.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $152,500 to $186,500 (subject to location and experience).

  • Bonus: Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
