About the Role
Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Senior Medical Science Liaison to support the Oncology portfolio across India and Thailand. This field-based role focuses on scientific engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, investigators, and research sites while supporting clinical trials, evidence generation, medical education, and strategic medical affairs initiatives. The position requires extensive stakeholder interaction, scientific expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Medical Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with KOLs, investigators, healthcare professionals, medical societies, and patient advocacy groups.

  • Deliver accurate scientific and clinical information through one-on-one meetings, presentations, and virtual interactions.

  • Monitor treatment trends, competitive intelligence, emerging scientific data, and unmet medical needs.

  • Support medical education initiatives, advisory boards, and scientific exchange activities.

  • Identify and develop potential speakers for medical education programs.

Clinical Trial Support & Evidence Generation

  • Serve as a key liaison between investigators and internal clinical development teams.

  • Support clinical trial site identification, feasibility assessments, patient recruitment, and investigator engagement.

  • Facilitate Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) and collaborative research initiatives.

  • Assist with interventional and non-interventional studies.

  • Support investigator meetings and scientific research programs.

Medical Strategy & Execution

  • Contribute to local and regional medical plans.

  • Develop territory-specific scientific engagement strategies.

  • Support launch readiness, disease awareness initiatives, and pipeline development activities.

  • Participate in advisory boards, symposia, and expert meetings.

  • Contribute scientific input to reimbursement and market access activities.

Medical Insights & Intelligence

  • Capture and communicate field-based medical insights.

  • Monitor competitor activities and treatment landscape developments.

  • Support evidence-based decision-making through scientific intelligence gathering.

  • Share actionable insights with medical, commercial, and clinical teams.

Internal Medical Support

  • Deliver scientific training and updates to internal stakeholders.

  • Support product and disease-area education.

  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, HEOR, Market Access, and Commercial teams.

  • Provide expert scientific guidance during meetings and projects.

Compliance & Pharmacovigilance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and healthcare regulations.

  • Report adverse events and safety information according to pharmacovigilance requirements.

  • Support inspection readiness and compliance activities.

  • Maintain high standards of scientific integrity and professional conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting clinical trials and investigator-sponsored studies.

  • Strong scientific presentation and communication skills.

  • Experience working with global cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to travel extensively (80–90% field engagement).
